Key Features & Specifications

  • Motor: 14.5-amp, 1800-watt induction motor

  • Pressure: 2030 PSI (Pounds per Square Inch) – The force of the water.

  • Flow: 1.76 GPM (Gallons per Minute) – The volume of water.

  • Cleaning Units (CU): 3570 CU (PSI x GPM). This is a key performance metric; higher is better.

Why Choose Sun Joe Spx3000

Powerful 2030 PSI & 1.76 GPM Performance

The SPX3000 delivers robust cleaning power, making it capable of tackling tough jobs like driveways, decks, and siding. This combination of pressure and flow rate ensures efficient dirt and grime removal.

Total Stop System (TSS) Saves Energy & Pump Life

When the trigger is released, the TSS automatically shuts off the pump while the motor idles quietly. This reduces wear, saves energy, and prevents overheating, extending the machine's lifespan.

5 Quick-Connect Spray Tips for Versatility

The included nozzles (0°, 15°, 25°, 40°, and soap) let you instantly switch tasks from a pinpoint jet for stubborn stains to a wide fan for gentle cleaning, all without tools.

Dual-Detergent Tanks for Easy Soap Application

Two onboard, removable tanks allow you to switch between two different cleaning solutions (e.g., soap and bleach) without refilling or mixing. A dedicated low-pressure soap nozzle ensures proper application.

34-Foot Power Cord & 20-Foot Hose for Extended Reach

The generous cord and high-pressure hose provide ample reach to clean around your entire home, garage, or vehicle without constantly relocating the unit or using an extension cord.

Compact Roll Cage & Easy-Storage Design

The sturdy steel roll-cage frame protects the unit and allows for easy rolling. Its compact design and onboard storage for the hose and cord make it simple to maneuver and store.

FAQ

You should receive:

  • The main pressure washer unit

  • A 34″ extension wand

  • A 5 quick-connect spray nozzles (0°, 15°, 25°, 40°, and soap)

  • A 20 ft. high-pressure hose

  • A 32 oz. detergent tank

  • User manual & warranty info

  1. Assembly: Attach the wand to the gun, connect the high-pressure hose to the pump and gun, and attach the water inlet hose to your outdoor faucet.

  2. Water Supply: Connect the inlet hose to a cold water tap. Ensure the water supply is on and the hose is not kinked.

  3. Prime the Pump: Before turning on the machine, squeeze the trigger gun for 30 seconds to allow water to flow through the system and remove air from the pump. This is crucial to prevent damage.

Only use detergents specifically designed for pressure washers. Never use regular dish soap, car wash soap, or bleach (unless your model specifically allows it via the detergent tank). These can create excessive suds and damage the pump. Sun Joe offers its own line of compatible cleaners.

  • 0° (Red): For intense, pinpoint cleaning on concrete or stubborn stains. Use with extreme caution as it can damage surfaces.

  • 15° (Yellow): For heavy-duty cleaning of driveways, brick, and siding.

  • 25° (Green): All-purpose cleaning for decks, patios, and vehicles.

  • 40° (White): For gentle cleaning of windows, outdoor furniture, and grills.

  • Soap (Black): Low-pressure nozzle for applying detergent. You must switch to this nozzle before turning on the detergent valve.

  1. Insert the BLACK SOAP nozzle.

  2. Turn the detergent dial on the machine to the “ON” or detergent symbol position.

  3. Spray the surface with detergent. Do not let detergent dry on the surface.

  4. Turn the detergent dial OFF.

  5. Switch to a high-pressure nozzle (Green 25° is a good start).

  6. Rinse the surface clean with high-pressure water.

  • Water Supply Issue: The most common cause. Ensure your faucet is fully open and the inlet hose is not kinked. The machine needs a steady, high flow of water.

  • Trigger Not Fully Engaged: Squeeze the trigger gun completely.

  • Clogged Nozzle or Inlet Filter: Debris can block the nozzle or the pump’s inlet filter. Turn off, unplug, and check/clean both.

  • Air in the System: Re-prime the pump by triggering the gun with water flowing for 30 seconds.

You must winterize the SPX3000 if temperatures drop below freezing.

  1. Disconnect from power and water.

  2. Drain all water from the hose, gun, and wand.

  3. Pump Saver/Anti-Freeze: The best practice is to run pump protector fluid (like Sun Joe’s Pump Shield) through the system. Connect a short hose to the inlet, place the other end in a bottle of pump saver, and run the machine for 30 seconds until pink fluid comes out the wand.

  4. Store indoors.

Locate the small filter screen where the inlet hose connects to the pump. Unscrew the connector, remove the filter, rinse it under water to clear debris, and reinsert it. Clean this regularly.
